New iUE Webinar: Designing Nature-based Solutions with Circular and Bio-Sourced Materials
We’re proud to announce that we’ve been selected by the New European Bauhaus Academy (NEB) to develop an online training and mini-MOOC: Designing Nature-based Solutions with Circular and Bio-Sourced Materials!
As a member of the NEB Community, the Institute for Urban Excellence (iUE) is committed to supporting the principles of sustainability, beauty and inclusion in planning. Together with Studio Barnard and Alexander Jachnow, we are developing this training to introduce city makers and built environment professionals to the integration of material circularity into co-created Nature-based Solutions (NbS). Our course will combine a strong theoretical foundation in NbS and circularity with practical insights into the use of bio-sourced materials, focusing in particular on mycelium, a sustainable and regenerative construction material.
With our expertise as a knowledge broker and think tank, iUE continues to serve as a bridge between urban planning theory and practice. We’re excited to help turn ideas into actionable insights and meaningful learning for practitioners!
