REGEN'S 4TH PROJECT MEETING
Last week, on October 14 and 15, we shared two inspiring days in Laredo, Spain, during which the REGEN partners got together for the project’s fourth Consortium meeting. We exchanged knowledge, reviewed progress and discussed how to shape the final year of our project.
Hosted by lead partner LIST (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology) and by the Laredo demonstration team, the meeting provided an opportunity to explore how the REGEN methodologies and tools are being implemented in our demonstration sites. Throughout two days, partners shared updates on Work Package activities, discussed achievements and challenges, and aligned priorities and plans for the final year of the project. We also witnessed the progress in Puebla Vieja, Laredo’s historic old town, and learned from the local experience of urban regeneration.
Beyond the working sessions and workshops, Laredo’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage offered a wonderful reminder of why place-based approaches matter: successful urban regeneration must connect people, heritage, the environment, and the future of our cities.
As REGEN moves into its final year, we continue working together to advance more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive approaches to urban regeneration across Europe.
